If you’ve never been to the San Carlos Park July 4 Parade, you’re missing out.

And I’m not saying that in a cheesy “small town USA” way.

I mean it in the real way… like:

This is one of those days where the neighborhood actually feels like a neighborhood.

People show up early.Kids are out.Everyone’s smiling. And you see faces you haven’t seen in months.

It’s one of my favorite traditions in San Carlos Park.

our july 4th truck ready for the san carlos park parade

For the last 3 years, we’ve been part of the parade.

And every year it’s been a blast.

Not because it’s some huge fancy event… but because it’s so simple and so local.

It’s just San Carlos Park being San Carlos Park.

🎆Ace Hardware Plaza = the real kickoff

If you know, you know.

The parade doesn’t really start when it starts…

It starts when everyone meets up at the Ace Hardware plaza.

That’s where you see the real energy.

Cars decorated with flags.Trucks looking like rolling patriotic art projects.People honking, laughing, setting up, taking pictures.

And it’s honestly awesome.

You look around and you’re like:

“Yeah… this is why people love living here.”

🚗 Decorated cars, loud music, and good vibes

One of the best parts is seeing how creative people get.

Some people go full-out.

Red, white, and blue everywhere.Flags on everything.Streamers.Signs.Kids hanging out the windows waving.

And then you’ve got the classic San Carlos Park style too:

A truck, a flag, some music, and that’s all you need 😂

Either way, it’s fun.

And it’s one of those events where even if you don’t know anyone, you’ll end up talking to people.

Because that’s what happens in this neighborhood.

📍 The route around the park (and the best finish)

The parade goes around San Carlos Park and ends at Three Oaks Park.

And honestly, that’s the perfect ending.

Three Oaks is already one of the main spots where people gather in this area, so it just makes sense.

Once everyone gets there, it’s like the whole neighborhood is together in one place.

Kids running around.People hanging out.Neighbors catching up.

It’s a vibe.

🦅 Last year we went all in 😂

Last year we decided to take it up a level.

We put a huge American inflatable eagle on top of the truck.

🇺🇸🦅

And I’m not gonna lie… it was hilarious.

People were pointing, laughing, waving, taking pictures — and it turned into one of those “San Carlos Park moments” you don’t forget.

And the best part?

Even our puppies joined the parade last year too.

Yes… the dogs were part of it.

And honestly, they probably got more attention than we did.

🌴 Why this parade matters more than people think

The funny thing is… the San Carlos Park July 4 Parade isn’t some huge production.

It’s not trying to compete with Naples or Fort Myers events.

It’s just local people showing up with decorated cars, loud music, and good energy.

But that’s exactly why it’s so good.

Because it reminds you what San Carlos Park really is:

A neighborhood where people still come outside.A neighborhood where you actually meet people.A neighborhood where kids can be kids. And where random traditions like this turn into something everyone looks forward to.

If you’ve been here, you get it.

And if you’re new here (or thinking about moving here), this is one of those little things that makes the area feel like home way faster.

📍 If you live here, you know

San Carlos Park isn’t trying to be something it’s not.

It’s just a real neighborhood.

And days like July 4 prove it.
